Did you know that the planet we live on (Earth) is a Giant Magnet?. I know right!, Sounds Crazy. But after reading a comic called, The Great Earth Magnet, I learnt that the earth is one big magnet, We also learnt about magnets from the book.

There is a South Pole and North Pole on the Magnets. If you connect a North Pole and South Pole together, It will stick. If you put a South Pole and a South Pole, It will not connect.

Our Create Task was to make a Poster and put 2 interesting facts from the book and write why its important.

This week in reading we had to make a Board Game about Friendships. We had to put at least 5 questions about your Friendship. Here is my Board Game. Maybe its best to get a dice and play it!

Hello There!, I'm Patrick. Today we had a task to do in Reading. We had to see different types of relationships. 

There is HEAPS of types of Relationships like Brother and Sister, Girlfriend and Boyfriend and a lot more.   Relationships is the way in which two or more people or things are connected, or the state of being connected. 

For our create task we had the usual, Choose any of the choices on the board. So I picked," Top 8 reasons of how to be a good friend". Now there were many things I could of listed. But unfortunatly I had to choose 8.

The Champion Growth Mindset vs The unpositive Fixed Mindset!

 

Lets get ready to rumble! as we see the skills of the Fixed Mindset and Growth Mindset. In Week 7, We have been learning about a Growth Mindset. 

GROWTH MINDSET

The Growth Mindset gives you Advice and Positive thoughts. For example, Your Growth Mindset could say,"Mistakes are Valuable". It means that if you make mistakes, its okay you can try it again.

FIXED MINDSET

A Fixed Mindset gives you Bad Advice and No Positive Thoughts. Like for example,"I give up". That is not good, Its stopping you to do things. 

THE CREATE TASK

Week 7's Create Task was to Make a poster of what a Fixed Mindset is and what a Growth Mindset is. Here is my Create Task

REVEALING THE WINNER

After the Un positive Mindset and Positive Mindset. I'd say... GROWTH MINDSET IS THE WINNER!

Olympics - Reading

 Lisa Carrington - Patrick

In Reading, We have been learning about the Olympics. This year, The Olympics take place in Tokyo Japan. On the task board we had to  make a slide about one Olympic Paticitant representing New Zealand. I did Lisa Carrington. Here are some facts about here.

Lisa Carrington is a  New Zealand rower Who is currently competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She won three consecutive gold medals in the Women's K-1 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as gold in the same event at the 2011 Canoe Sprint World Championships. In the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Lisa Carrington has won 2 Gold medals. She is also representing New Zealand. Lisa Carringtons Nickname is, The Goat in a Boat. Lisa started to represent New Zealand in the London 2012 Games.

God makes Everything

A long time ago when God was alive there was nothing but darkness on the planet earth.So God thinked about putting some land on the Earth.Then God put land,water,animals, a moon for night  and a sun for light.When animals were placed on earth They were really Happy.

When God looked at All the water covering the world he made sea animals like,Fish,Stingrays and Whales He was impressed with himself.

At the time there were no people on earth so god made someone to be like him so god made Adam and eve.Adam and eve became freinds and became happy so as god,God was really happy that he potted people on earth for the first time.

And that's my story
