Sweets might be yum, It might be what we all want, But sometimes, Bad things can happen.
If you eat too much candy, you will end up extremely fat and then you won't be able to do certain things just like the average human.
According to studies, It can decrease academic performance a lot, it can cause hyperactivity, and it can do bad things to them. Instead, they should sell foods that are good for the brain, like fruits and vegetables.
Can you imagine yourself looking that fat.
Another reason why we shouldn't is because When you eat excess sugar, the extra insulin in your bloodstream can affect your arteries all over your body. It causes their walls to get inflamed, grow thicker than normal and more stiff, this stresses your heart and damages it over time. This can lead to heart disease, like heart failure, heart attacks, and strokes.
Trust me, No one would want to have heart failures, strokes and heart attacks. You could possibly die from that.

This week in Writing we have been learning about a Persuasive Text. A Persuasive Text is that you convince someone to do this or that, whatever your argument is about.
For my argument, My topic is to Stop Littering. There are many reasons I have came up for no one to litter.

Rhetroical Question:
Why are we doing this to the environment? Can you bear to see it happen right infront of your eyes, and you do nothing about it.
We need to stop littering on this earth because A study from Portland State University found that patients enrolled in mental health disorder treatment programs perceived litter located around their housing facility to be a factor in hindering the development of positive health outcomes associated with their current mental health recovery.
Litter has the potential to cause harm to human health, safety, welfare, as well as the environment. So we should stop littering because this is bad, it can affect us.

We should stop littering because it could affect the environment we live in.
If we keep on littering, we would end up living in a country or possibly world of pollution.
If we keep on littering it will affect our fresh air and we could possibly suffocate and die.
This week in Maths we have been learning 4 Types of Stratigies, That includes Tidy Numbers, Rounding and Compensating, Place Value and Reversibilty.

We watched a Award-Winning video about a Little Girl donating her toys to a Orphanage down town, It was raining so she bought her Shiny Bright Limited-Edition Yellow Umbrella. She bought it inside with her mother bringing the toys inside. She placed her Umbrella at the Umbrella stand so she could meet the orphans. Well not all, There was a boy named Boris and he took the Yellow Umbrella because it reminded him of his dad before he left Boris. When the girl saw Boris with it, She got angry and snatched it away from him, Then the girl realised why he wanted the umbrella so she gave it to Boris.

In Reading, We have been learning about the Olympics. This year, The Olympics take place in Tokyo Japan. On the task board we had to make a slide about one Olympic Paticitant representing New Zealand. I did Lisa Carrington. Here are some facts about here.
Lisa Carrington is a New Zealand rower Who is currently competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She won three consecutive gold medals in the Women's K-1 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as gold in the same event at the 2011 Canoe Sprint World Championships. In the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Lisa Carrington has won 2 Gold medals. She is also representing New Zealand. Lisa Carringtons Nickname is, The Goat in a Boat. Lisa started to represent New Zealand in the London 2012 Games.
Today we congratulate those who got drafted to the NBA. Well not all of them, Terrence Clarke was meant to be drafted but he tragically passed away in April, Following a Car crash, When he died, He was 19.
He was Just About to see his life-long dream come true of it wasn't for the Car Crash. No-one knows what team he was meant to be drafted to.
